Orthotic therapy, and in some cases, AFO therapy may be favoured for a range of common conditions that present to podiatrists across the hindfoot, midfoot and forefoot.
Join Mr. Kent Sweeting as he addresses which orthotic prescription parameters are well suited to each condition and how you can communicate this with your lab. He will also touch on in-office adjustments that can be made to existing orthotics.

About the Speaker

Mr. Kent Sweeting
Founder & Podiatrist, Performance Podiatry & Physiotherapy
Director, Queensland Orthotic Lab
Mr. Kent Sweeting graduated from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2004 with first-class honours. He has worked in a broad range of settings including private practice, research, teaching and running a commercial orthotic lab. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and has spoken at local and international conferences. Mr. Sweeting is a contributor to Brukner and Khan’s Clinical Sports Medicine textbook.
Mr. Sweeting had served as the president of Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine (AAPSM), now officially Sports and Exercise Podiatry (SEPA), for 5 years and worked at the 2018 Commonwealth Games at the polyclinic. Mr. Sweeting owns Queensland Orthotic Lab and has been running it for 11 years. Concurrently, he continues to practice once a week in his clinic, Performance Podiatry & Physiotherapy.
