The association provides oversight of its members to ensure uniform and quality standards in the practice of podiatric medicine. The association represents its members in Singapore and internationally, and acts as the primary interface between its members and Singapore’s Ministry of Health and its affiliates.

The Management Committee
The Management Committee is the association’s strategic body, consisting of volunteer members elected by the voting members of the association. Its role is to decide policies, establish guidelines and standards, and approve key organisational changes in accordance with the appropriate tone and culture of the profession.
Responsibilities of the Management Committee are:
- To ensure the goals of the association are met through actionable plans in compliance with the mission and vision statements
- To provide strategic direction in the promotion and development of podiatry in Singapore and Asia
- To successfully execute plans in the areas of marketing, community outreach, community education, continued professional development and perform other relevant tasks
- To administrate and operate the back end of the association; to execute legal affairs, manage funds, and other financial tasks in compliance with its constitution and the Singapore Registrar of Societies’ rules and regulations
