On 1 April 2026, the Association of Podiatric Medicine (Singapore) conducted a career talk at Nanyang Junior College, introducing approximately 50 students to the rewarding profession of podiatric medicine.

The presentation provided an overview of the role of podiatrists in preventing, diagnosing and managing conditions affecting the foot and lower limb. Students also learnt about the educational pathway into the profession, career opportunities, and the growing need for podiatric care in Singapore as the population ages and chronic conditions such as diabetes become increasingly common.

The session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer segment, during which students showed considerable curiosity about the profession. They raised a wide range of questions on career prospects, university training, day-to-day clinical practice and the future development of podiatry in Singapore, making for a lively and interactive discussion.
