On 2 April 2025, the Association of Podiatric Medicine (Singapore) was pleased to be invited once again by Nanyang Junior College to deliver a career talk on podiatric medicine to approximately 56 students with an interest in healthcare professions. The session was conducted by a volunteer practising podiatrist representing the Association.
Students were introduced to the role of podiatrists, the educational pathway into the profession, and the growing demand for podiatric care in Singapore and around the world. They also gained a deeper appreciation of how podiatrists combine clinical expertise, problem-solving skills and compassionate patient care to improve mobility and quality of life.
The talk concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, where students asked thoughtful questions about career prospects, university education and the future of healthcare. Several students shared their interest in careers that rely on human judgement, clinical skills and patient interaction, reflecting their curiosity about the impact of artificial intelligence on the healthcare professions.
The Association is honoured to have been invited by Nanyang Junior College over the past few years to share the profession of podiatric medicine with its students. We look forward to continuing our partnership in inspiring future generations to explore rewarding careers in healthcare
