On 20 May 2024, the Association of Podiatric Medicine (Singapore) conducted a career talk on podiatric medicine for approximately 85 students at Yishun Innova Junior College who were interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. The session was delivered by a senior volunteer podiatrist from the Association.
Students learned about the role of podiatrists, educational pathways, career opportunities, and the growing demand for the profession in Singapore. The talk concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session, during which many enthusiastic students asked insightful questions about the profession and its future prospects.
Several students also expressed interest in volunteering at the Association’s free Community Podiatry Clinic for the elderly, reflecting a strong desire to contribute to community healthcare while learning more about the profession.
The Association of Podiatric Medicine (Singapore) is pleased to have partnered with Yishun Innova Junior College over the past few years to introduce students to podiatric medicine and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.
