On 15 July 2026, the Association of Podiatric Medicine (Singapore) was invited by Singapore Polytechnic to deliver a career talk on podiatric medicine to approximately 85 science students on campus. The session was presented by a volunteer practising podiatrist representing the Association.
Students were introduced to the role of podiatrists, the scope of podiatric practice, educational pathways, and the increasing demand for the profession in an ageing society.
The programme also featured a special presentation via Zoom by a Professor of Podiatric Medicine from the University of Newcastle, Australia, who shared insights into podiatry as a career, opportunities for further education, and the profession’s global career prospects.
The session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer discussion, during which students showed considerable interest in learning more about podiatric medicine and the diverse opportunities the profession offers.
The Association of Podiatric Medicine (Singapore) appreciates the opportunity to work with educational institutions in promoting awareness of podiatric medicine and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
