On 21 May 2025, the Association of Podiatric Medicine (Singapore) welcomed a group of approximately 22 students and lecturers from Ngee Ann Polytechnic to a podiatry clinic for an educational visit to learn more about the profession of podiatric medicine.

Unlike a conventional classroom career talk, the clinic visit provided students with a unique opportunity to observe how podiatrists assess foot and lower limb conditions, formulate treatment plans, and help patients improve their mobility and overall foot health. Students were also introduced to the range of specialized equipment and technologies used in modern podiatric practice to diagnose, manage and rehabilitate a variety of foot and lower limb conditions.

The visit concluded with an interactive discussion where students and lecturers had the opportunity to ask questions about the profession, career pathways and the role of podiatrists within Singapore’s healthcare system.

The Association of Podiatric Medicine (Singapore) remains committed to working with educational institutions to raise awareness of podiatric medicine and inspire more young people to explore this rewarding and increasingly important healthcare profession.
