On 25 February, 11 March, and 12 March 2025, students from St Andrew’s Junior College (SAJC) and Republic Polytechnic (RP) visited a podiatry clinic at Novena Medical Centre to explore podiatric medicine as a career option.
Practising podiatrists shared insights into career prospects, essential qualities, and work-life balance, highlighting podiatry as a people-focused profession with strong future demand. A clinic tour allowed students to observe how podiatrists assist individuals with foot and lower limb issues, including the use of modern equipment and techniques to improve mobility and comfort.
The visits concluded with a special sharing session by podiatric medicine professors from the UK and Australia, followed by an engaging Q&A session. Students gained valuable exposure to podiatric medicine, sparking interest in this growing healthcare field.
